The interpretation is the art that allows men to understand the things’ meaning. The shamen, the ballad singers, the ancient narrators and the other passe communities social figures, hand down orally their own culture and history, from generation to generation. Before the books and the modern recording instruments, these oral traditions were fundamental for the cultural survival and evolution. In the modern context, the interpretation is the term used to described communicative activities exploited to develop the comprehension and the experience about protected natural areas, meseums, historic-archaeological sites. The interpretation’s aim is to reveal meanings and correlations through the use of original objects, direct experiences, illustrative medium or simply to tell a story. (Interpretative Planning Group)
The education service of Phoenicians’Route was founded in order to transmit knowledge, respect and interest on the Mediterranean cultural, natural and landscape haritages, to promote intercultural exchanges, and to guide people into natural and cultural context of the Phoenicians’Route territories. The Phoenicians’Route organizes cultural education programmes for distinct age strips to reach the major number of visitors and to communicate them the value of natural, cultural and landscape heritages. In the Education Centres of the Phoenicians’Route, some experts groups will make pedagogical programmes for all the visitors.

It’s need to study new communicative system that allow everybody to discover their own reading key of heritage and all its implications, in order to develop the technical-scientific knowledge with a direct interaction. Paths of gather between heritage and visitor, are been created to enable each partecipant to have its own contact experience with that resource. These communicative interpretation concepts align theirself with the pedagogical and didactive needs of schools and unversities, defining the heritage pedagogy. The Itinerary wants to promote experimental activities to give its contribution to the innovation about the heritage didactics.
